Restoring vs. refinishing — your call
The difference between restoring and refinishing is a matter of taste. Some owners like their Eames lounge to show a little age (restoring) while others prefer a more pristine look (refinishing). In both cases our goal is the same: to maintain the chair's original patina. We'll talk through your preferences and which direction suits your chair.
Broken wing repair
The nearly seamless repair of broken wings is one of our distinctive services. We've developed a durable solution that retains your chair's original matching rosewood veneer rather than replacing it. Our top priority is a structurally sound repair that maintains the integrity of the original design — so the chair regains its strength and the repair disappears into the curve. A broken wing is not the end of a chair — it's one of our specialties.

Shipping your chair for repair is easier than you may think. We receive Eames Lounges from all over North America every week. Send us your photos, we'll provide a quote, and we'll tell you exactly how to pack and ship the chair before it leaves your house.
To simplify the shipping process, we can send you a box that includes a return label and packing materials. You only need to ship the parts that require repair. While some disassembly may be necessary, it's a straightforward process. An instructional video on how to disassemble an Eames Lounge appears at the bottom of this page.
Please be sure to pack only the parts we need to fix. You can call UPS to arrange for a pickup at your home. We insure all packages for peace of mind. After we complete the repairs, we provide another detailed video on how to reassemble your Eames Lounge. We have found this method to be safe, efficient, and cost-effective.
